my actual, literal bloodchild first hour of standup:

LESBIANS Square copy.jpg

My first hour of standup. My dream. My baby monologue with a new life of its own. What began as a documentary theatre project when I was 22 culminated in a one-lesbian show I've been performing at age 24. I wrote this piece as a thank you to the lesbians who help raise me up, from the precocious little seer who came out at age 4 to the snarky, sensitive dyke I've become in my twenties.

Remember when we were all little and could count the LGBTQ+ people we knew on one hand? Remember crayons and EOS lip balm and Kurt Hummel? We made it through. We can laugh about all these things we shared before we even met. How marvelous would the kids we once were think we are now?

The New School BFA Thesis, April 2023

I got to perform my senior thesis in a studio at Arnhold Hall. Where I'd studied for two years. My safest place in the world. It was the best weekend finally getting to share what I'd made with my loved ones. And also... I got a lot of attention. Which I, like, need to live.

Off-Broadway at SoHo Playhouse, May 2023

It was a 48-hour whirlwind putting together my off-Broadway debut and I would do it all again, exactly the same. Making a debut in such a revered space as MYSELF, after years of character work, was terrifying. And empowering. And exactly what I needed.
